Artist Statement
“My love of nature drew me to examine the beauty of the things that grow – whether that is in the wild or intentionally planted. From farms, to community and backyard gardens, to wildflowers along a country road, nature’s bounty offers us a vast array of subjects with details worthy of our attention.
I recently came across a quote that said “It’s not about just seeing beautiful things; it’s about seeing the beauty in every thing” Through this project I would like to bring to light the beauty of things that grow that may otherwise go unnoticed.”
Biography
About 3 years ago a friend put a camera in my hands and said, “Come and take pictures with me”. I haven’t stopped taking pictures since. In particular I enjoy macro photography for the details it allows me to see and share through my photography.
