Artist Statement

Photographing “people doing what people do” is something that I have always found interesting, capturing the significance of candid situations in daily routine. My intent is to give nuance to an individual’s typical activities or circumstances, by giving the setting a distinctive meaning. In my work I aspire to create images that are thought provoking, unique and left open to interpretation. My current project supports this vision because each image tells a story, allowing the viewers to discover their own meaning based on one’s life experiences.

Biography

Anne is a budding documentary photographer with three years of photography experience. Her interest in photography peaked when her son started wrestling in high school. It was then that she discovered that photography could elevate everyday moments into extraordinary images.
