Abstract photography

Artist Statement

I was looking for a project to challenge myself to see things from a different perspective and in the mean time to be patiently observing the surroundings.

The water reflection photography comes as a nice project to serve my needs. I visited various ponds from the local parks that many of us visit regularly. Most of us will normally overlook the reflections for they are either boring or just such ordinarily things we are seeing all the time.

However, I challenged myself to capture these “ordinarily” reflections in a different way and presented them with abstract form.

Biography

Mingte has been enjoying photography for many years, started with film then switched to digital in 2004, mainly for the family events and travel photography. Mingte will continue on family and travel photography, but will also explore other subjects that may pose challenges to his comfort zone.
