Artist Statement
Light, for me, is an expression of gratitude and hope. It is not only symbolic of my thoughts this year, but also of the inner landscape I wish to cultivate always. The life captured within these images represents gratitude for all the challenges I have weathered and the growth that has resulted. The sunlight represents hope, that thing which is ever constant and makes all evolution endlessly possible.
Biography
Valerie Biehl is an emerging travel photographer. The opportunity that photography creates to capture life in all of its truth and beauty, around the world, was the impetus for her interest in the medium.
